Meggan, I just wanted to compliment & thank you and the staff at Ettore’s for the great job today during the Burgers for the Cure of breast cancer. It was obvious how hard you all had worked getting ready for & during the fund raiser. We love Ettore’s food and goodies and eat there often. When we received the e-mail about the fund raiser we had already a full weekend planned but we had to show-up to support the fight anyway. We arrived around noon, placed our order & waited for our food, but unfortunately our food did not arrive. All of the people around us were eating, even some who had ordered after us & It was at that point that I took our order # up to the counter to have someone check on the status of our food. I first spoke to Brock, who kindly went to check it out, but while I stood there waiting almost every person in a pink jacket stopped to ask if I had been helped, not just the waitstaff but the mgr. &,asst. mgr, as well. After Brock told me the order was misplaced & they would get it out to us ASAP. I returned to our table & you stopped by & introduced yourself & said you’d noticed that we’d been sitting there patiently waiting for a long time with no food, I explained what Brock had told me & you said you felt terrible so you offered us something to munch on in the meantime. You were gracious enough to get us some veges & dressing to keep our hunger at bay. While we were eating our veges, the Asst. Mgr Alexis, who had taken our order came over and apologized & gave us a gift card to comp our meal. We were amazed that as busy as you all were, you could even notice our problem, much less give such personal exceptional service. Besides the great food & incredible goodies, your business ethics is one of the reasons that we will always be a customer for life. Thank you again!

M – Thanx for blogging about the Safeway Organic products. I was not aware they offered such a large selection. I live in Carmichael and have been “getting my organic on” by traveling downtown to the Sac Food Co-Op or over to Whole Foods when Safeway is right up the street ( so I’ll not only save money on my O stuff but on gas too!) I will gladly go there to check it out on my next shopping trip. Please keep up the great stories cause I not only enjoy your writing style but have loved the food and goodies at Ettore’s for years (keeping up with your family is just a bonus) Your writing and perspective about life is a breath of fresh air that is greatly appreciated by all of us over- worked homemakers. Keep up the good fight and never let them see you sweat!

I shop at Safeway all the time….raising 3 grandkids (boys) I cannot keep the refrigerator or cupboards full . I shop at least every other day. Like everyone else I go for one thing and end up with half a cart full. Safeway has such good deals and their produce and meats are so fresh. The employees in our local store are just fantastic. Never too busy to help and very courteous. Thanks Safeway!

My toddler really enjoys the Eating Right wheat waffles, and they are so easy for me to just pop in the toaster. Safeway also has a good selection of organic produce at great prices.

I have recently started to switch my family to organics and Safeway is a really great place to find stuff. They how a huge selection of organics. We all feel alot healthier now.
